Dr. Nicole Lampo, DPT, CLWT
DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY, CERTIFIED LYMPHEDEMA AND WOUND THERAPIST
Dr. Nicole has been practicing as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in out-patient, SNF, ALF, and home health care for 16 years. She is dual certified in Lymphedema and Wound Care. Prior to opening her clinic, Dr. Nicole earned her teaching certificate and taught for the International Lymphedema and Wound Training Institute (ILWTI).
Olivia Rickenbrode, PTA
PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT
Olivia is a recent graduate of Horry-Georgetown Technical College with an associate degree in science with a concentration in physical therapy.
She has always loved staying active and helping others which lead to a career where she could combine the two. Olivia is now a licensed PTA at Healing Journey.
Bethany Carleton
BILLING/CODING
Bethany graduated from Horry-Georgetown Technical College in 2014 with an Associates Degree in medical billing coding and business. She's been working in the medical field since 2008 and has been supporting Dr. Nicole for 12 years.
In her free time, Bethany enjoys spending time with her husband, 4 kids and 2 dogs. She loves Harry Potter and her family trips to Florida.
Barbara Jo Stanley, RN, CLWT
Barbara Jo Stanley - better known around here as Barbie Jo - brings an impressive 53+ years of nursing experience to the Healing Journey team. Apparently retirement was a little too quiet for her, because she missed the hands-on patient care and decided to jump right back in as a “hands-in” clinician.
When Barbie Jo isn’t taking care of patients, she keeps busy writing poetry and novels, taking care of her three dogs, and, according to Barbie Jo herself, apparently
serving as Scott’s full-time IT person.
“Scott still has me as the FT IT person - I deserve an upgrade!” ☺
With more than five decades of nursing experience, plenty of personality, and an unofficial second career in tech support, Barbie Jo is definitely one of a kind.
Zachary Taylor
PHYSICAL THERAPY TECH
Zach was born and raised in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He has a passion for staying active through sports and athletics. He's excited to share his sports background with patients to help them stay active in their own way.
Zach is looking forward to learning more about Lymphedema care and physical therapy.
Abigail Joyner
Physical Therapy Tech
Abigail is from Wise County, Virginia, and brings three years of healthcare experience rooted in patient-centered care. After earning a Health Science certification from her local community college she developed a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. This genuine commitment continues to grow in every step of her career.
Abigail is very excited to expand her knowledge in lymphedema care.
Sarah Lamothe
PHYSICAL THERAPY TECH
Originally from New Hampshire, Sarah moved to Myrtle Beach in 2002. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and joined Healing Journey in April 2025, originally working at the front desk before quickly discovering how much she loved being a therapy tech.
From the moment Sarah started at Healing Journey, she knew it was a special place. She considers being part of the Healing Journey family a true blessing and takes pride in seeing patients progress and knowing their treatment is making a positive difference in their lives.
Outside of work, Sarah is a busy mom of two girls. One is involved in gymnastics and the other participates in a bowling league, which keeps Sarah busy traveling and cheering them on most weekends. When she has some downtime, she also enjoys reading.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, connecting with others over good conversation and coffee, and making time for meaningful and fun experiences with family and friends. I strive to bring professionalism, positivity, and purpose to both my career and personal life.

Our team's combined experience in the specialty of Lymphedema and Wound Care sets us apart from other Physical Therapy clinics in our area. We understand how hard doing everyday tasks can be with excessive swelling. We work closely with our patients to develop individualized treatment plans that are tailored to our patient's unique needs, goals, and preferences. We offer effective treatment for chronic swelling so you can reduce swelling in the first visit.
